• STAFF INITIATIVES
  The Macquarie Group Foundation annually recognises the outstanding community contributions made by Macquarie staff around the world.
• HEALTH
  Professor Cyndi Shannon Weickert, the Macquarie Group Foundation Chair of Schizophrenia Research, is an international schizophrenia expert.
• ARTS
  We live in the middle of nowhere - there is no movie theatre, let alone drama theatre - so this is an invaluable opportunity for our kids to experience drama live.
• EDUCATION
  The Macquarie Group Foundation has committed $A2 million over 10 years to establish the Macquarie Group Foundation Professor at the Centre for Social Impact, a position held by Professor Peter Shergold AC.
• ENVIRONMENT
  Discoveries of such significant conservation value highlight the importance of systematic surveying and monitoring.
• WELFARE
  In the past year staff have generously responded to the emergency needs of communities affected by natural disasters.
• MACQUARIE SPORTS
  As part of its 2008 Australian Rules program, Macquarie Sports partnered with the Adelaide Crows club to deliver 50 sessions on leadership, goal-setting, decision-making and communication skills to students.
